Easter Bunny Trades Hopping for Flying…

15 March 2016   General

A little over a week from now, the Easter bunny will be hopping into hearts, at fields and in backyards all over the country…

But here at Monmouth Executive Airport, our Easter Bunny visit is taking an entirely different approach. On Friday March 25th, 2016, Monmouth Jet Center will host its first ever flying Easter Bunny, dropping in by parachute from about 10,000 feet above the airport.

“We had extensive negotiations with Mr. Bunny over the last months to be sure he would be able to safely negotiate this jump and I am happy to say he has passed all certifications leading to the coveted “NJ Master Bunny Jumper” qualifications.” explained Rita Spader, Executive Director of Monmouth Jet Center.  “His jump will be the first time a genuine fairly tale creature has successfully parachuted to the ground at Monmouth, the entire team is very excited”.

Monmouth Executive Airport is prepared for a big turnout of families and kids who will all get to participate in a large Easter Egg Hunt near the front of the Airport after the Bunny drops. Parents are encouraged to get to the airport early, though it will be hard to miss a 6 foot flying Easter Bunny from anywhere on or near the Airport.

Festivities at the airport will be on Good Friday March 25th at 12:30PM.  In the event of rain, the event will be postponed until the next day, Saturday March 26th at 10:00AM

All children should come prepared with running shoes and Easter baskets!  Mom and Dad, bring your cameras and/or cellphones!

Note: Mr. Bunny has advised that autographs will not be possible due to very large paws.

We hope to see you there!
