Paving the Future of Monmouth Jet Center: Runway Improvements Are Underway!
There’s something exciting about seeing plans for the future become a reality. Which is exactly what’s happening at Monmouth Jet Center! Runway improvement construction is officially underway, marking an important step forward for the continued growth and long-term future of our airport.
As recently highlighted in The Coast Star, airport owner Alan Antaki joined representatives from Monmouth County, the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and Wall Township to celebrate the start of these improvements. The project represents an important investment in the airport and the aviation community we’re proud to serve.
Investing in the Future of Monmouth Jet Center
Our runways are at the heart of everything we do. They connect pilots and passengers to the Jersey Shore, New Jersey and destinations throughout the country, while supporting the pilots, aircraft owners, charter operators and aviation businesses that use Monmouth Jet Center.
With any important piece of infrastructure, runways require maintenance and investment over time. These improvements will help us continue building on the airport’s long history while preparing it for the years ahead.
We’re especially excited to see this project move forward with support from the NJDOT grant funding that is helping make these improvements possible. It’s a truly exciting time for everyone who has a connection to Monmouth Jet Center!
Temporary Runway Closures During Construction
Because the work is already underway, there will be some temporary impacts to airport operations. Runways 14/32 and 3/21 will experience temporary closures as construction progresses.
The construction schedule is weather dependent, so the timing of individual phases may change based on conditions. Our current goal is to have the runway improvements completed by October 15, 2026, weather permitting.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of our pilots, tenants, passengers and aviation partners while this important work takes place.
